DofE Volunteering
Depending on the level of DofE Award that you're doing, the volunteering section lasts for a minimum of:
Bronze. 3 months*
Silver. 6 months**
Gold. 12 months**
Notes:
* Increased to 6 months if volunteering is your chosen 'extended section'.
** If you've not completed the earlier levels, Direct Entrants to Silver and Gold might have to volunteer for a further 6 months.

Our sections meet every week during term time, but not over school holidays. There may also be extra for activity days or overnight camps at the weekend.
The first and last week of each term tends to be very busy for our members at school, so our Section Teams meet up to plan the activity programme instead. As part of our team, you'll be invited if you'd like to contribute your ideas.
Your Module A e-learning also counts towards your volunteering time.
Safety and Safeguarding
In Scouts, the safety and welfare of children and young people is our priority. Young Leaders must follow our safeguarding code of conduct.
